Taxiway B is the primary taxiway supporting the 6,000 foot Runway 1/19. The taxiway provides five entry/exit points for Runway 1/19, facilitating quicker movement of aircraft onto/off the runway, which opens the runway for flight operations.

Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Building

The Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Building is a critical safety facility at FLO. The ARFF structure houses the airport’s unique, rapid response fire-fighting equipment and includes sleeping quarters and a training area for the airport’s firemen. At FLO, the ARFF building also houses offices for the airport’s Public Safety officers. In the event of an emergency, the ARFF facility can be used as a temporary air traffic control tower.
